Elo Life Systems
Backstory
Alexandria launch labs is a state-of-the-art high-tech greenhouse space with access to the Alexandria Ecosystem. Built in 2019 for R&D, this space was developed to house new and upcoming research companies. This commercial project took place in Durham, NC 27709 in May of 2022. We detail the highlights from this project below:
Project Challenges
- Large 6800 sqft greenhouse floor.
- Temperatures fluctuate during the day.
- Epoxy material was hard to secure with shortages.
Work Completed
- Mechanically diamond grind floor and remove dust/debris with a vacuum.
- Filled cracks in concrete with Armorseal Crack Filler.
- Applied one coat of Amorseal 33 Epoxy Primer/Sealer to the prepared floor.
- Broadcast to rejection 5310-8 Silica sand for slip resistance. (Removed rejected silica)
- Applied one coat of Armorseal 650 SL Epoxy (colored).
- Applied one finish coat of Armorseal Rexthane as seal coat (colored).
Project Timeline
The project took approximately 2 weeks to complete.
The crew did a wonderful job. The final look of the floor is fantastic.
