At CertaPro Painters® of Brecksville, we believe that painting isn’t the only way to bring color and comfort to a community—sometimes it’s about showing up, giving back, and supporting causes that make a lasting difference. That’s why we’re proud to be a sponsor of the Putts for Paws event, a heartfelt fundraiser benefiting Crisis Response Canines (CRC).
This special event brings together golf lovers, dog lovers, and community supporters for a day of fun—all to support the mission of CRC: providing strength, comfort, and emotional support to individuals, families, and first responders affected by crisis or trauma.
About Crisis Response Canines (CRC)
CRC’s mission is to provide strength and comfort to those impacted by traumatic events—whether it’s a natural disaster, mass casualty event, or community tragedy. Their highly trained K9-handler teams are certified in psychological first aid and deploy to schools, hospitals, businesses, and national emergency scenes to offer calm in the midst of chaos.
CRC operates two levels of response teams:
Comfort Teams provide emotional support during scheduled visits to local institutions and events.
Operational Deployment Teams are certified to respond nationally to large-scale crises and emergencies.
These dogs don’t just bring wagging tails—they bring healing where it’s needed most.
Meet Shirley Graziano: Color Consultant and CRC Team Lead
This event was especially meaningful to our CertaPro Brecksville team because it celebrates one of our own: Shirley Graziano, a valued Color Consultant and the Ohio Team Lead for Crisis Response Canines.
After learning about CRC, Shirley was inspired by the positive impact therapy dogs have on first responders and trauma survivors. She made a personal commitment to the organization’s intensive training program and now leads CRC’s Ohio Chapter alongside her K9 partner, Zodiac.
Together, Shirley and her team have completed over 250 visits in the past year—bringing compassion, calm, and comfort to those who need it most.
