University Dormitory Painting & Stucco Repair Project in Steamboat Springs, CO
Our Certapro experts were called in to perform painting and stucco repairs to a local university dormitory in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The building needed extensive work such as patching, repairs, and caulking around every single metal window on the building. The painting was completed and all siding with an elastomeric coating.

CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:Accessing the backside of the exterior building without much room and drops off a steep hill/cliff provided some difficult challenges throughout the project. The planning, coordination, and scale of the job details were immersive but our team proved that they were well equipped to handle the job.
Our team worked around other contractors/trades going in/out of the building. Lastly, a heavy application was needed given the extreme color change this building needed to undergo.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Stucco Patching and Repairs – Stucco patching and repair was needed throughout the entire building.
- Caulking – Caulking around every single metal window on the building.
- Painting All Siding with Elastomeric Coating – We sprayed, backrolled, and sprayed again for heavy application.
- Painted Metal Trim – Painted metal trim using industrial grade metal coating for the best adhesion and color retention.
- Boom Lift – Utilized a boom lift to access hard-to-reach backside and higher areas.

Started: May 2020
Duration: 2 weeks
We completed the project ahead of time and on budget. A very satisfied customer with glowing reviews!
BEFORE PHOTOS
The siding of the building was extremely faded and oxidized. There were some water issues and leaking at some windows. The customer was not fond of the colors (clay red had faded to a pink color). There were cracks throughout the stucco that were previously caulked but not properly so stood out visibly and was not appealing.

THE FINAL RESULTS
After the university dormitory painting and stucco repair project was completed, the facility was ecstatic with the work.
