The 382 S Arthur Ave building is an approximately 20,000 sq. ft. tilt-up two-story office building. The building had very old existing paint on concrete siding and metal surfaces such as doors and railings. CertaPro of Boulder and Longmont did a full exterior repaint of the building among other services. The team is experienced with tilt-up exterior painting projects and have the tools, equipment and crew to handle panting projects of all sizes.

CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:Due to very old existing paint on concrete siding and metal surfaces such as doors and railings, there was a lot of chalking on siding from oxidation.
The slab joints had very wide gaps requiring the removal and reinstallation of backer rod and premium Loxon S1 polyurethane sealant. It will resist deterioration due to extreme weather, stress movement, water and many chemicals.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Paint – Painting of full exterior.
- Slab Joint Replacements– Removal and replacement of slab joints throughout full exterior.
- Concrete Patching – Concrete patching on back side of building where windows were previously removed and poor patch work was completed.

Started: July through August 2019
Duration: 2 weeks

THE FINAL RESULTS
After completion we walked around the building and took photos of each area of concern that were noted at the beginning of the project. The once failing surfaces look brand new again.
