Metal Railing Painting Project in Boulder, Colorado
This exterior metal complex houses 6 mixed-use buildings; retail, restaurants, and commercial offices. The entire property is nearly a full city block in size. This prime location is off of 30th street in Boulder, Colorado. The owners looked to update and repaint the metal railings and some exterior office areas.
The team at CertaPro Painters of Boulder and Longmont are experienced with metal railing painting projects and have the tools, equipment and crew to handle these type of painting projects in the city.

CHALLENGES:With so many tenants and customers involved, we had to carefully coordinate logistics of these projects.
Due to the unique challenges, boom lift access in the adjacent high-traffic parking lots had to be coordinated as well.
CONDITIONS:
- Metal surfaces had original coating and had never been repainted as a maintenance coating.
- Metal peeling and failing.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
- Paint – Railings, I-beams, awnings, overhangs, soffits, ceilings, window frames, metal staircases and balconies all needed painting.
- Industrial Coating – Very high grade industrial coating was used that is a two-component product with a short pot life.
- Grinding Equipment – Used grinding equipment to remove surface rust.

Duration: 2.5 weeks
BEFORE PHOTOS
Before the project began we did an assessment of the building. This high-end luxury real estate property was relatively newer but metal surfaces had original coating and had never been repainted as a maintenance coating.
THE FINAL RESULTS
After the job was completed, the owners were extremely satisfied with the finished project. They awarded CertaPro Painters of Boulder and Longmont the 8 other exterior staircase projects in the same large complex.
