Multi-Story Parking Garage

Large-Scale Cleaning & Repainting Project

In August 2021, CertaPro Painters^® of Boulder and Longmont assisted in repainting a multi-story parking garage. The garage is located in a high-traffic area of Boulder near the new Google campus and S’Park development area.

The garage is a great facility but the bare walls and doors started to look dingy, stained, and worn. Cleaning the surfaces was a large portion of the project for the site team. The walls were coated with a sealer and an industrial finish for a great new look and long-lasting protection.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
Projects of this size require careful planning among the painting team and proper coordination with the structure’s administration. Each area that received a new coat of paint presented its own challenges for CertaPro Painters^® to work around.

The extensive dirt buildup created a large assignment before the painting could even begin. Concrete sections, including walls, barriers, and columns, along with metal doors and frames would then be painted by the team for a brand new finish.

CONDITION

• Bare Walls – The walls of the garage were left bare, lacking the protection painted surfaces can offer
• Dirt Accumulation – Dirt and grime were visible throughout the garage and needed a thorough cleaning

PREP & PAINTING
The garage project was logistically intensive. CertaPro’s team was tasked in posting notifications, managing traffic, and using extreme care in regard to cleanliness, mitigating any bleeding or paint in unwanted spots.

After a thorough cleaning and prep was completed, CertaPro Painters^® of Boulder and Longmont applied a masonry sealer and a high grade industrial finish to transform the garage walls. The metal doors and their frames were also coated, providing a durable new finish to large portions of the structure.
