Light Industrial Warehouse
This warehouse is roughly 70,000 sq. ft. of space across 2 adjacent buildings. It is used for light manufacturing, assembly, retail and distribution across multiple businesses. After some years, it showed signs of worn and weathered paint from a very old coating. From the inside of the building, sunlight was visible through the large gaps and cracks in the failed slab joint sealant. The original forest green color had faded to light green.

CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:From the inside of the building, sunlight was visible through the large gaps and cracks in the failed slab joint sealant. Our team removed and replaced the failed slab joint to seal the building was required.
Due to this warehouse being highly active during business hours, the assembly, manufacturing and distribution activity was still in operation. The team needed to coordinate logistics and secure access to the building. Production scheduling was critical.
CONDITIONS:
- Worn and weathered paint from a very old coating.
- Failed slab joint sealant.
- Forest green color had faded to a very light green.
- Overhead dock doors were inconsistent since some were original and others replaced and various colors.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Full exterior repaint– Siding, overhead dock doors, walk-in doors and frames, railings, bollards and roof line metal flashing.
- Slab Joint Replacement – Removal and replacement of roughly 50% of the slab joints. Heavy two coat application including a backroll on the block siding.
PROJECT TIMELINE: September 2019, about 4.5 weeks to complete

Before the project began we did an assessment of the building. A number of issues were found including worn and weathered paint from a very old coating, cracks in the failed slab joint sealant and the forest green color on the building had faded to a very light green.
THE FINAL RESULTS
The completion of the full exterior paint project resulted in a fresh looking warehouse accented with green and gray colors.
