Stucco Facility Painting Service
This is a multi-use building containing businesses as well as private residences located in the Prospect neighborhood of Longmont. Our painters were asked to repaint the exterior, as it had not been renovated in 10 years. It took us nine days to complete this exterior painting service. About the Project:
Condition of Facility:
This stucco building had not been painted in over a decade and had significant environmental staining which made it look dingy and especially dirty below downspouts and on areas where water flowed along the surface of the building. All colors were faded and there were areas of rust on metal railings. Our painting crew was able to execute the project without disruption of the day-to-day of the building’s tenants. Once complete, the colors were uniform and bright with crisp lines and no signs of flashing (typically difficult to achieve on a substrate like stucco).
Project Involvement:
This project involved extensive and detailed masking, creative maneuvering of ladders from upper levels of the three-story interior atrium because they had no way to bring in a lift, proper measures to keep our painters safe while working at greater than normal heights, Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec paint on the stucco surfaces and industrial metal products on the handrails.
Special Challenges:
Due to the interior atrium allowing no access to bring in a lift or move ladders through at ground level, our crew had to lower ladders from upper floors to access the interior walls.
