Multi-Building Apartment Complex Painting Project in Boulder, Colorado
A multi-building apartment complex in the southern part of Boulder, Colorado needed a new paint job. The facilities have been on a regular maintenance cycle, so the facilities had the normal signs of needing a repaint. As our team at Certapro Painters of Boulder and Longmont are experienced with apartment painting projects, we knew this one was was going to require professional coordination between our team, the owners and tenants.

CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:Our crew needed to adhere to a strict protocol and process around cleaning the job site daily and creating a moving workstation. Our team kept things orderly, clean and presentable while utilizing a large crew to complete the work in a short time frame for the customer.
Extensive and detailed masking was required. The team taped off gutters, downspouts and roof line metal flashing. There was also thin metal flashing over siding panels, door frames and window trim that required intricate masking.
Our crew coordinated with residents and the property manager regarding communication, logistics and timing to paint their doors while open.
CONDITIONS:
Facilities have been on a regular maintenance cycle, so the facilities had the normal signs of needing a repaint. In general, the condition was good. This allowed our team to keep the cost lower since there was not an excessive amount of surface preparation necessary.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Full exterior repaint.
- Power wash, preparation and paint.
- Detailed work including metal railings, front and back doors of each unit.
- Clapboard siding with some masonry siding, as well as stairwells.

Started: September/October 2018 and August 2019
Duration: 6 weeks in total
