Turn Your Home Into a Winter Wonderland

Posted on January 24, 2020

Winter is a magical time, and it’s the best time to let your creativity run free when it comes to decorating your home.

The holidays and winter in general are the perfect time to add some season-themed décor. You definitely won’t regret it and your family will also appreciate the winter cheer around the home.

If you are looking for ideas on how to spice up your home’s décor for the holiday/winter time, then keep reading

Create a Snowy Scene on your Dining Room Table

Make your dining room table the main focus of the room. All you need in faux snow, miniature pine trees, battery operated string lights and a winter village set which is optional.

Decorate the Mantel

This can be done a variety of different ways. However, one of our personal favorites involves lots of garland and add ornaments. Drape the faux or real garland over the mantel and then add lights and ornaments. For an extra touch you can place large white candles behind the garland to create a classy holiday vibe.

Winter Center Piece

You will need small pine cones, greenery, and winter flowers. Then arrange them to your liking.

Winter Bouquet Basket for Front Door

If you don’t want to go the traditional wreath route, try creating a Winter Bouquet Basket. Most of the time you will be able to use whatever leftover decorations you have. You can always use the same basket and just switch up the contents once winter is over.

Winter themed signs

If you are looking to take on a project yourself, you can DIY a holiday chalkboard sign or purchase one.

DIY Popsicle Snowflakes

Use popsicle sticks to create snowflake décor. You can spray paint them silver, gold, white, or any color that matches with the aesthetic in your home. Each one will be unique, and this could be a fun project to do as a family.
