Minimize the headaches of updating your commercial space

If your commercial space is ready for a repaint, you might be concerned about the logistics of the project. If painters are going to invade your space it can feel like your life and your productivity are on hold. When can you find the time for that kind of interruption? Fortunately, CertaPro Painters has many options available to fit into your business’ culture and minimize productivity loss. We maintain respect for the work you need to get done. Here are several ways to make painting your commercial space a little less painful.

Painting off-hours

We are available to paint in the off hours so that you can stay open. Workers may not enjoy paint drying fumes. Even if we go with a low VOC paint (Volatile Organic Compound, ie – paint fumes) they might be uncomfortable with navigating a wet paint environment. The concern for ruining clothes or messing up the finish can be stressful.

We’re also available to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, holidays, Masters week etc. – any time that your business may not be open to the public. This ensures that we will find a time that works best for you and your business’s needs so that we can get the project done successfully.

Project Management

If we are painting during off-hours or during a holiday, it’s important that you know that we need to be twice as organized as we would normally be. If your office or store is closed, it’s likely that the paint stores will be closed as well! If your store or office manager is ready for us when we arrive we will be able to complete the project without any hiccups. Of course, we’re happy to work with you to accommodate your company’s policy.

Employee Contribution

If we’re painting in an office or in a retail space, it can feel like we’re invading the personal space of your employees. An easy solution is to include your employees in the preparation process. Having them participate in packing up and cleaning out their area allows them to feel invested. Now it’s a collaboration to get the project done!

Project Examples

We are happy to work with you on your project regardless of the challenge. Below are two examples of some projects that had some interesting obstacles with creative solutions.

Just Beds

This interior project is a great example of a retail process because they were able to stay open while we worked! Because we were painting during the Covid pandemic, and because traffic to the store was sporadic, the client felt it was alright for us to paint in the store during business hours. We stayed in one section at a time so that they could still demonstrate their products to their customers without interruption. They liked that their customers could see us updating their interior space. They felt that it was a benefit to let them know that they value and invest in the customer experience.

Silver Oak Management

This office space leases areas for high-tech tenants. We painted multiple buildings in multiple tenant spaces. These spaces had updated colors, high ceilings, beautiful wood finishes… they are really gorgeous buildings. We ended up painting for them while they were open and they were able to keep operations running. We had to consider the needs of our property management customers, but also each of their individual tenants. We did this by maintaining respect. Every detail of our presence, from the way we cleaned up, to the way we dressed, to the way we spoke, all had to maintain a consistent level of respect for the people whose spaces we were in. Professionalism is always our priority.
