Georgia State Capitol Building in Atlanta, GA
In the summer of 2018, CertaPro Painters of Atlanta was called upon to complete work on our very own State Capitol building, located here in Altanta, GA! The building, constructed in 1889, was in need of painting work on four external staircases leading up to the main entry doors at the historic building. While the overall scope of this project remained relatively straightforward, there were a number of special considerations given the nature of the project. They included:
- Working within a high security access area
- Preparing a pedestrian traffic plan for multiple high-use public and staff points of access
- Working within very specific timelines
After a thorough powerwashing of the areas, the steps were coated with one coat of Sherwin Williams, ARMORSEAL Tread-Plex, semi-gloss, water-based paint. Upon completion of the painting and once the product had dried, CertaPro Painters of Atlanta crews installed new 3M Slip Resistant tape on the stair treads.
