High-Rise Exterior Makeover for Atlanta Retirement Center

Scope of the Project:

The project involved a full exterior repaint, light carpentry repairs, and targeted window sealing to protect the building envelope. The outdated color scheme was replaced with a crisp white base and bold blue accents, instantly refreshing the façade and adding architectural interest.

Multiple exterior surfaces were prepared and repainted, including masonry areas, brick accents, and trim elements. The result was a cohesive, modern finish that dramatically improved curb appeal while providing long-term durability.

Challenges & Solutions:

Working on a multi-unit high-rise with active residents required advanced planning and sensitivity to daily routines – including maneuvering work around regular community activities such as Bingo hour. The height and layout of the building introduced access challenges, particularly over breezeways and drive-under entries.

These complexities were solved through the use of swing staging and specialized aerial lifts, allowing the crew to safely reach difficult elevations and angles without disrupting residents or compromising safety. Clear communication and coordinated scheduling ensured that the project progressed smoothly over the three-month timeline.

Final Results:

By the end of the project, the retirement center had undergone a dramatic transformation, from faded and forgotten to fresh, modern, and full of character.

Residents and staff immediately noticed the improvement, joking that the building now looked like it had been given “a fresh lease on life.” The bold blue accents against the crisp white façade created a vibrant identity for the property, making it an unmistakable visual highlight in the neighborhood.
