Residential Project in Decatur, GA
This beautiful home is another great example of work that we have completed in neighborhoods in and around Decatur, GA. The scope of this project included a repainting of almost the entirety of the exterior. A limited number of excluded items included the front door, all downspouts, and a fence in the rear of the property. The home was first pressure-washed using a mildicide solution to remove all dirt and mildew for proper finish coat adhesion. Additional prep work was completed to include:
- Caulking was applied to all previously caulked gaps and cracks in order to seal out future moisture. For this, we used an elastomeric sealant.
- We replaced missing or loose putty/glazing. Minor holes were filled with wood putty.
- All loose and peeling paint was scraped to ensure a firm base for the new paint.
- A light sanding was applied to areas where scraping occurred in order to promote adhesion.
For the top coat, Sherwin Williams’ Resilience was used throughout the scope of the project.
