CertaPro Painters of Athens® is certified in Lead Painting! Athens is filled with charming homes, most of which were built in the 1800’s and contain lead based paint. Dealing with historic homes in the area, is a unique project that we have to treat differently than we would your typical house painting project. We recognize the high probability that we will be dealing with lead based paint. Homes built before 1978 are likely to contain lead based paint because it had yet to be banned. Lead paint can crack and form flakes, which then contaminate the home and can pose a health risk to you and your family. We fully understand the concerns around lead based paint. Our team takes all of the necessary precautions to ensure that your historic home will be a safe and healthy place to live. We are trained and certified in lead based paint removal.

Along with historic homes, we also have plenty of experience with painting older homes in general. Think 1940’s – 1950’s.
