Change the Color of your Front Door for Spring!
Posted on March 30, 2021
With every new season comes new trends. CertaPro Painters® of Athens is seeing a lot of new and creative paint trends happening for both the interior and exterior of homes. One trend we always love to keep up with is the new popular paint colors for front doors. Painting your front door a bright color is the perfect way to add a little individuality to your home. Below are some of the most popular front door paint colors for Spring 2021. Before we dive in, we wanted to point out a few questions you should ask yourself before picking a color for your front door.
- Will the color you chose work-well with your already pre-existing color scheme?
- Will everyone in your family like this color? After all everyone will need to be seeing it every day.
- Will the color look good in direct sunlight?
- What climate/location do I live in? Brightly colored doors may make more sense in places that are warm all year.
If you are feeling creative, try:
- Black – Bold, edgy and really makes statement.
- Lime – Fun, quirky, and it would be hard to be in a bad mood if you’re looking at a lime green door.
- Turquoise – Bright, creative and playful.
- Bright Orange – An alternative to the popular choice of yellow. Radiates feelings of happiness and is very welcoming.
If you prefer more traditional, try:
- Classic Red – Red is timeless. It is classy while still being bold.
- Slate Blue – Blue will never go out of style and most people can agree they like the color. It gives off feelings of relaxation and peacefulness.
- Emerald Green – This color is striking and you don’t see it too often. It is original while still being elegant.
- Dark Gray – We love a dark gray door on a white or light tan home.
- Pure White – A white front door can really make the exterior paint color on your home pop.
