2020 Paint Trends
Posted on March 30, 2020
With a new year comes new styles and trends. What became immensely popular over the past decade will slowly fade and new trends will come in and take their place. It can be difficult to keep up with the ever-changing home design trends, so we are here to help. Here are the paint trends that you will be seeing in 2020.
Warm Pastels – In the past 10 years we have seen sleek and modern (almost sterile) home design style become widely popular. However, you will not be seeing this in the upcoming years. Instead, people will be incorporating warm pastels into their home.
Monochrome – Although we have a feeling this particular trend will be quickly fleeting, we will still be seeing it in the upcoming years. Choosing a bold color and using it for the walls and décor is daring and will give the home a lot of personality which is probably why this trend is becoming increasingly popular.
Black and White – We love this trend and can see it sticking around for quite some time so it’s worth the investment. Think of the all-white kitchen that has become so popular as of late, but with the sharp contrast of black details. It is classic yet bold.
Earth Tones – All of the cool tones we have seen in the past years will now be replaced with earth tones. People are beginning to see them as warmer and more welcoming.
Jewel Tones – Rich blues and greens will be added into many homes over the upcoming years to give that pop of color.
Classic Blue – Pantone has named classic blue as the color of the year so we will undoubtedly be seeing more of this shade in the months to come. It will be incorporated into the exterior of homes through the front door or perhaps the entire exterior paint color. On the interior, people will be incorporating through accents such as rugs and throw pillows or on the larger scale, painting the interior of their home with this shade.
