CertaPro Painters® of Arvada has been locally owned and operated since 2008. The owners Bob and Tazia Strausser purchased the business from another husband and wife team in June of 2022. Before acquiring the franchise, Bob and Tazia partnered with the previous owners for a couple months to ensure a seamless transition, and to help make sure they did not miss a beat in delivering great work and a positive customer experience.
Before becoming the new owners of CertaPro Painters® of Arvada, the couple both worked in Brand Marketing and Advertising. They excelled at building brands and driving creative solutions for Clients like Coors Brewing Company, P&G, Kellogg, MARS, Pepsi, Orgain and more. They led large teams that loved what they did and produced great work. After 25 years in the business, Bob and Tazia were ready to build something of our own, in the community that their family calls home, Arvada.

Bob and Tazia have lived in Colorado for over 25 years. When asked about their favorite part about owning a local business they said, “working together, husband and wife, with our team and crews, it feels very personal and family oriented. Owning a small business in and amongst our community is also very rewarding.” They also have enjoyed the challenge of starting a new kind of business.
“Learning all the ins and outs of running our own small business has been exciting but challenging. In addition, we’re new to the painting industry. I think making a transition like this leverages so many of our skills but there’s a lot to learn. We have been so fortunate that we are able to lean on our amazing employees, paint partners and former owners to quickly become experts and not miss a beat. There are many advantages to being new, like a new perspective on the industry, more focus on the customer experience and an energy of excitement,” Tazia says.
In addition to helping home and business owners transform their Arvada properties, this local CertaPro franchise values giving back as well. They donate to local charity events, participate in community festivals, and donate time/materials to schools and organizations that need help in our community. Nationally they also raise money to support breast cancer research in honor of Tazia’s mom who is a breast cancer survivor of over 20 years.
