Business Development Specialist

CertaPro Painters of Arlington has an immediate opening in Falls Church for an organized and forward-thinking BDS to champion our company services to existing and new client relationships.

The Business Development Specialist (BDS) role is responsible for initiating, developing and growing commercial painting relationships with Association Managers (HOAs), Property Managers, and Facilities Managers. The BDS will also develop outside sales action plans to grow our market share and success, contribute valuable sales and marketing information, and provide strategic recommendations to achieve operational objectives. This position is in an assigned territory within the DC, MD, and VA areas.

Bachelor’s degree preferred with concentration in marketing principles
Minimum 2-4 years of sales or marketing experience
Strong working knowledge of marketing concepts, positioning, sales planning, competitive analysis and product development
Working knowledge of Salesforce or equivalent CRM
Outside sales and/or customer service experience and a working knowledge of social media and emerging technologies is a plus
Experience with Trade Shows (2-3 annually) is desirable
Must have advanced-level customer service skills
Must have a working and reliable vehicle

  • Developing and maintaining new relationships with commercial properties and key decision-makers
  • Solving problems, identifying trends and assisting in determining new inroads for growth
  • Assisting in new marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements
  • Staying very involved in the community through participation in specific trade associations
  • Creating a plan of action to meet or exceed set revenue goals
  • Creating relevant programs, classes, and events to cultivate our client relationships
  • Planning and participating in marketing and trade shows/expos.
Compensation

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year (base salary + commission)
