And with me today is Vicki Waterbury, also with CertaPro Painters. I&#8217;m sorry, I had a senior moment there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> It&#8217;s okay, it&#8217;s okay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Vicki, what do we have in front of us this morning?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> We have some exterior products from Sherwin-Williams. This one is Duration, we have Resilience and we have SuperPaint.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Interesting. So three exterior products, all with Sherwin-Williams. And what do you know about, let&#8217;s start with this one. What&#8217;s this one?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Resilience is a great product. It has a high moisture technology to it, so if a pop-up shower were to happen, if it&#8217;s been within an hour, this paint will be safe on that house. So it&#8217;s a very go-to product in spring and summer weather, especially around here, when we not for sure if there&#8217;s gonna be a storm or not throughout later in the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> So this would be what hard guys would call a summer paint maybe?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Sure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> So that&#8217;s a summer paint.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> And it&#8217;s a good product?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Great product.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Awesome, awesome. So if this is a great product, is this one better?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> It can be considered better. It&#8217;s another exceptional product. It&#8217;s actually coating, not a paint.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Really? A coating.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> So what makes it a coating?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> The thickness. It&#8217;s a higher thickness that goes on than Resilience, and even SuperPaint. So it lasts longer and it has great color retention and gloss retention.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Wow. Okay. So Duration is better than Resilience?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> It can be considered that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> So what do I have in front of me here?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> That is SuperPaint. It&#8217;s a very good paint. You can use it in different common areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Different common areas. So would that make this kind of a general type application product?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Yes. [inaudible 00:02:11.771]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> So if I were to look at all three, this is my general product, this is more my all-purpose heavy duty product.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> It&#8217;s a high-end product, yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> And then, this is not a middle of the road product but a high end product for early moisture type application?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> So this would make this one good, this one better and this one best?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> That&#8217;s how we classify it. SuperPaint does come 15-year warranty. These two both have a limited lifetime warranty on both these two types of paints.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Really?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Fifteen years lifetime.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Good, better, best.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> So if you were a betting person, what would you choose?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> What would I choose? It depends on a situation and what the surface of the house or the building is.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Okay. Well, that&#8217;s good to know too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Yes, it&#8217;s a lot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> And then, are they self-primed because I hear a lot of that when you go to Lowe&#8217;s and Home Depot, you know, those big box stores. They talk about self-priming products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Right.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> What are your thoughts and how do these compare?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> I&#8217;d say this is closer to the self-priming of any of them. It is self-priming except for on masonry surfaces. I would suggest a Loxon primer before putting a coat of this on bare masonry surfaces. A painted surface, this can go on a lot easier. As long as the surface, again, the substrate is in good condition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Okay. So you gotta kinda look at the application, figure out the condition of the application, and if the conditions are right, you may be able to use this one&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> By itself, yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> &#8230;by itself. And this one then, I would need a primer?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> And this one&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Also we would need a primer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> You also need a primer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> Yes. Separate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Good to know. Good to know. Is there anything else that would be good to know? Any differentiators that you&#8217;re aware of between the three?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vicki:<\/strong> No, not that I can think of. I think they&#8217;re all great products from Sherwin-Williams.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee:<\/strong> Well, there you have it.
