Gardner-White Furniture in Macomb, MI
Gardner-White Furniture was founded in 1912 as a place where customers could find great styles at a great value. More than a century later, Gardner-White is the only family owned & operated home furnishings business serving the Metro Detroit market. Located off Hayes and Hall Road in Macomb, Michigan, this location required over 10,000 feet of exterior painting. CertaPro of Rochester Hills offers interior and exterior commercial painting services throughout Macomb and surrounding areas for buildings just like this.
CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:CertaPro was called into address Gardner-White’s weathered canopy and bring a fresh new look to the exterior. We used an aggressive cleaning method to clean the canopy from existing peeling paint. EFIS trim and brick walls were cleaned and prepped.
CONDITIONS:
- Existing paint was weathered and peeling and had to be cleaned
- Drywall damage in the entryway
- 10,000 feet of exterior
- Tall exterior walls
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Paint – scrape existing paint, full prime and multi-coat finish
- Drywall repair – mitigate bubbling in drywall from previous damage and repaint to match other ceiling areas
- Special equipment – An articulating 45-foot boom lift was used to ensure safety, quality, and speed of the project

It was determined a 45-foot articulating boom lift was needed for safety as well as to ensure the project was completed in time.
THE FINAL RESULT
After completion, Gardner-White Furniture has a clean, modern new look to propel them into the next chapter for this 100+ year old business.
