Fire Station in Seneca

A 12,000 square foot steel building located in Seneca, Illinois that serves as the Emergency Services Facility for the surrounding area was in need of repair and repainting. Given the extensive needs of the job, CertaPro Painters of Oswego was called in to provide the highest quality of painting possible. Below, you’ll learn more about how we tackled this large project, what made it difficult, what it looked like before we started, and the pristine final product.

CHALLENGES:

The Fire Station is active and on 24-hr call, so CertaPro had to coordinate with the Fire Chief to ensure ongoing operations while we completed the painting project. This was done through our onsite JSS (Job Site Supervisor). We also used an electrical lift to reach the higher sections of the facility around the fire engine doors.

CONDITIONS:

The building originally built in the mid-1980s, with an add on several years later, still had its outdated original paint job. Chief Johnson, wanting to update the building with a modern color scheme contacted CertaPro Painters of Aurora/Oswego and worked with our Commercial Marketing Manager, Christina Didech to accomplish this goal.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:

  • Power washed using an environmentally safe non-phosphate cleaner.
  • Washed surfaces were sanded and primed
  • On-site trailer to store equipment
