{"id":1691,"date":"2020-11-16T09:57:03","date_gmt":"2020-11-16T14:57:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/certapro.com\/northeast-ga\/?post_type=our-team&#038;p=1691"},"modified":"2024-01-25T12:50:40","modified_gmt":"2024-01-25T17:50:40","slug":"patsy-overton","status":"publish","type":"our-team","link":"https:\/\/certapro.com\/northeast-ga\/our-team\/patsy-overton\/","title":{"rendered":"Patsy Overton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Patsy was born in Athens, GA with a Sherwin-Williams fan deck clutched in her tiny little hand.<br \/>\nHer parents marveled that the first words out of her mouth were\u00a0<strong>Comfort<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Gray\u00a0SW6205<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Holiday Turquoise SW0075<\/strong>.\u00a0 She\u00a0earned a degree in music\u00a0from UGA, then<br \/>\nmoved to Atlanta where she met her husband, a former\u00a0Kentucky basketball coach.\u00a0\u00a0She landed<br \/>\nan exciting job in the insurance industry, then drifted into boredom.<\/p>\n<p>In January of 2007 Patsy found herself without a job and decided to get a real estate license.<br \/>\n(She\u2019s never had a great sense of timing.)\u00a0 While on class break one day she picked up a book on<br \/>\nhome staging, bought it, read the entire thing that night and immediately knew that was her<br \/>\ncalling.\u00a0 She completed her real estate course work and got her license, then took a certification<br \/>\ncourse to work as a professional home stager.<\/p>\n<p>Several years into the staging business she was frustrated over a lack of consistent work.\u00a0 (The<br \/>\nfact that the country was in the midst of the worst housing market since the Great Depression<br \/>\nmay have had something to do with it.)\u00a0 Regardless,\u00a0Patsy knew she must add to her list of<br \/>\nservices.\u00a0 During that time she happened to see a conversation online about being trained as a<br \/>\ncolor consultant.\u00a0 She packed her bags and\u00a0drove to Charlotte for training and certification.<br \/>\nWhen she returned to Atlanta she began calling on paint stores to let them know she was<br \/>\navailable for in-home work as a color consultant.\u00a0 Who knew there were so many people out<br \/>\nthere needing help with color selections?<\/p>\n<p>Today Patsy is one of Atlanta\u2019s most experienced color consultants with thousands of color<br \/>\nconsultations under her belt \u2013 both interior and exterior.\u00a0 She also helps homeowners with their<br \/>\ndecorating and redesign needs.\u00a0 In addition, as of 2016, she offers training workshops and<br \/>\ncertification courses in these disciplines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Patsy was born in Athens, GA with a Sherwin-Williams fan deck clutched in her tiny little hand.
