The City of Schertz has long been a partner of CertaPro Painters and used us on many occasions to fulfill their painting needs. As such, we were excited to be provided the opportunity to bid the exterior painting of the city buildings. Included in the project was City Hall, the Administration Building, the Civic Center, Council Chambers, and the Community Center.
A detailed scope of work and paint specifications from Sherwin Williams were utilized to assemble the proposal. The scope included replacing damaged wood, filling and patching stucco cracks, and removing flaking and rusted areas of metal substrates. Specific attention was given to properly weather sealing the buildings to prevent future water penetration. Upon submitting the proposal, it was then sent to the City Council for approval.
We started the painting, building by building, through coordination with the city’s facilities manager. The paint team was flexible in scheduling to avoid high traffic areas involving city employees, local citizens, and Civic Center events. The painting was completed in four weeks.
