The customer had initially wanted to paint the wood T1-11 siding portion in the front of the house. However, upon arrival we noticed that the aluminum siding still had it’s original coating and that was failing in several areas. We provided pricing for both the wood and aluminum siding.
\nWhat did the project involve? The customer decided to have their T1-11 wood siding removed and had faux stone siding installed. They decided upon a bluish-gray color for the aluminum, specifically James River Gray AC-23 from Benjamin Moore. This color really goes well with the new stone face. We pressure washed, primed the bare spots on the aluminum siding, and applied two coats of Benjamin Moore exterior paint by spray.<\/p>\n
For the siding painting, the team needed to make sure the new faux stone front would not be hit by any overspray, so we used masking plastic to protect it. We also masked windows, doors, decking, and anything else we didn’t want to get paint on. Our crew placed drop cloths over the plant life and other light, breathable fabric so that they wouldn’t be suffocated.<\/p>\n
