Project in Hartford, CT<\/h2>\n<p>CertaPro Painters<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> of Mystic-Glastonbury, CT was contacted in May 2020 to help restore the appearance of the Vistech, Inc. building in Hartford, CT. It is a six-story building with almost 30,000 square feet in the southern part of the city, strictly meant for commercial use. CertaPro&#8217;s team was called in to power wash the Dryvit EIFS siding and provide a slight color change to the original off white.<\/p>\n<p><center><div class=\"twentytwenty\" class=\"twentytwenty-container\" style=\"display: none; max-width: 100%; width: 700px; height: \"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Vistech building before cleaning\" src=\"https:\/\/pub-9fc1f065f07e441b8f35365c774f09ae.r2.dev\/uploads\/sites\/1301\/2020\/07\/IMG_20200323_104011510-1.jpg\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Vistech building after cleaning\" src=\"https:\/\/pub-9fc1f065f07e441b8f35365c774f09ae.r2.dev\/uploads\/sites\/1301\/2020\/07\/IMG_20200701_120654287_HDR-1.jpg\"\/><\/div><\/center><center><\/center><center><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10941 alignleft hidden-xs\" src=\"https:\/\/indianapolis.certapro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1280\/2019\/06\/img-treatment.png\" alt=\"Commercial business painting\" width=\"207\" height=\"577\" \/>CHALLENGES:<\/strong><br \/>\nProjects of this magnitude have their own set of unique challenges. Strong coordination among the team and proper communication with the building&#8217;s management were paramount for smooth operations.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the height of the building, an 80-foot boom lift was used for the hard to reach and high sections of the exterior. This presented a hurdle in making sure the power washer could extend to the more elevated areas of the Vistech, Inc. building.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CONDITIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mildew and Algae Accumulation<\/strong> &#8211; Mildew and algae added an unappealing look to the exterior of the building<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cracked Siding<\/strong> &#8211; Unnatural cracking was present in the EIFS siding that required caulking to limit exposure<\/li>\n<li><strong>Worn coloring<\/strong> &#8211; The off-white hue needed an update to provide a fresher appeal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Prep<\/strong> \u2013 The exterior of Vistech, Inc. was thoroughly power washed and sealed before modifying the building&#8217;s color<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paint<\/strong> \u2013 The building was painted with an SW Loxon paint to stifle the future growth of mildew<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PROJECT TIMELINE<\/strong> &#8211; 10 days<\/p>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vistech, Inc.
