First Central Baptist Church – Commercial Painting Project

When it was time for the First Central Baptist Church in Staten Island to have their interior walls, trim, and ceiling painted they shopped around and finally decided to put their faith in CertaPro Painters® of Mountainside. With a large congregation and a need to stay open for services, the decision to use a “zero VOC” paint that wouldn’t create any fume issues was chosen.  Using Sherwin Williams ProMar 200 Zero VOC paint, the professional painters tackled the interior from top to bottom.

Using a scissor lift and scaffolding to reach the 30′ high roof, the painters also had to coordinate with a carpeting crew in order to hit their project completion date. Maneuvering around dozens of pews and painting directly over the alter required real planning and care in the use of scaffolding. A four-person commercial painting crew with dozens of years of experience between them made quick and efficient work of the project. Finishing ahead of schedule and within the $22,000 budget, both the pastor and congregation were well pleased.

In their words “Bill and his crew walked us through the process the entire way – they worked efficiently, and were able to finish in time for our anniversary service.”

Normally when you paint a room you can move furniture out of the way, but where do you put dozens of heavy pews? You work around them with great care.
