Commercial Sales Associate

We are currently looking for a self-motivated and outgoing individual looking for a challenging opportunity to join our team as a Commercial Sales Associate. Our ideal Commercial Sales Associate is an outgoing, focused, and motivated individual who possesses excellent listening skills and can deliver an extraordinary customer experience. We are looking for an individual with a strong desire to succeed, the ability to develop lasting relationships, and the skills to close contracts through a consultative sales approach.

Responsibilities
Account maintenance
Business development
Ensures administrative duties are complete in a timely manner, including maintaining all data (lead profiles, job profiles, proposals, etc.) in the database and preparing reports/documentation as required
Helps with marketing, including completing a Territory Marketing Plan each month, ensuring that lawn signs/door hangers are distributed within territory, and participating in all company-sponsored Home Shows
Helps with production, including ensuring written proposals are accurate and clearly define all expectations of the customer, ensuring all landed jobs are handed off to the correct person, communicating customer scheduling preferences and needs, managing customer expectations and ensuring they understand the entire process after the job is landed, maintaining communication with customers after a job is completed to ensure satisfaction and to generate referrals
Manages sales responsibilities, including creating sales packages, entering leads into the database, updating customer reference lists, and maintaining inventory of all sales materials
On-going commitment to sales goals
Participating in industry events and tradeshows
Performs sales duties, including meeting with customers, scheduling designer consultations and/or follow up meetings, ensuring proposals are signed and completing all required paperwork/data entry
Prospecting
Relationship building
Responding to and generating RFPs
Sales

General Job Responsibilities and Required Skills
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Advanced education degree, coursework, or tech school a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous service business experience desired
  • Sales experience
  • Strong computer and internet skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal/written skills, to include proofreading and basic math skills
  • Goal oriented
  • History of accomplishment and promotion
  • Active listener
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
