Using a primer to seal the substrate and start a paint build is an efficient and effective use of man hours and materials. Primers are chemically designed to bond to surfaces along with providing strong adhesion for a finish coat. When painting a surface for the first time, opt for a three coat system as they produce a strong and long lasting seal. This tchnique will establish the foundation of which all future coatings will be applied to.
