Every home is unique, and to provide an accurate estimate, we need to assess your specific project in person.
DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT MINIMUM?
We take pride in delivering high-quality painting services with efficiency and reliability. To ensure our skilled painters and crews stay productive with minimal downtime, we have a project minimum of $500. This policy allows us to schedule projects effectively and maintain the exceptional service our customers expect.
IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN CHANGE THE COST OF A PROJECT AFTER A CUSTOMER RECEIVES A QUOTE?
Yes, the cost may change if the project scope is modified, unforeseen repairs are needed, upgraded materials are chosen, or unexpected delays occur. We always communicate any adjustments before proceeding.
HOW MUCH PAINT DO YOU NEED TO PAINT A HOME?
The amount of paint needed depends on the size of your home, the number of coats, surface type, product, and color/sheen changes. We provide precise estimates based on your specific project.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO PAINT?
The best time to paint is during mild, dry weather, typically in spring or fall. Ideal temperatures are between 50°F and 85°F, as extreme heat or cold can affect paint application and drying. Avoid painting during rainy or excessively humid conditions to ensure the best results and long-lasting finish.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD PEOPLE PAINT THEIR HOMES?
How often you should paint your home depends on factors like weather, the material of your home, and the type of paint used. Generally, exterior paint should be refreshed every 5-7 years, while interior paint may last 7-10 years. High-traffic areas may need more frequent touch-ups. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PAINT A HOME?
The time it takes to paint a home depends on factors like the size of the home, the number of coats, and the complexity of the job. On average, painting the exterior of a home can take anywhere from 3 to 7 days. For interior painting, it typically takes 2 to 5 days, depending on the number of rooms and details involved. We can provide more precise timelines during your estimate based on your specific project.
HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU SEND OUT FOR EACH JOB?
Our crew’s range for a single man crew to a crew of 6. The crew size will be determined by the size of the job and the crew available in the timeline of your project.
IS YOUR TEAM MADE UP OF EMPLOYEES OR SUBCONTRACTORS?
Our team is a mix of both employees & subcontractors. Both are very professional and have worked with us for a long time.
HOW WILL MY PROJECT BE MANAGED?
Your project will be managed by a Job Site Supervisor (JSS). Interior projects are typically started from the top down, ceiling, walls, then trim. Exterior projects are done similarly depending on the project details.
IS THERE A WARRANTY?
Yes, we have a limited 2-year warranty on our labor. Product warranties are typically carried through the manufacturer.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS?
We have been in business in the Lexington, KY area since 2014.
CAN THE PAINTERS WORK ALONE AT MY HOUSE?
Absolutely, this is a very common question. Our crews have been with us for a long time and are completely trustworthy. You can rest assured your house will be taken care of with the upmost respect. Feel free to lend them a key, garage opener, or a designated door code so they can lock up once they leave.
HOW MANY PAINT COLORS ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR TYPICAL PROPOSAL?
Our typical proposals assume you will choose one wall color per room, and no more than three colors in total, unless otherwise indicated on your proposal. There will be an upcharge of $50 per additional color chosen above three wall colors.
WHAT TYPE OF PAINT DO YOU USE?
We are not tied to a specific brand or product. We will help to advise you of your options, but ultimately it is up to you. We do typically stay with the major brands in our area—Sherwin Williams, PPG, Ben Moore, & Farrell Calhoun.
DO YOU USE ANY MATERIALS ASIDE FROM PAINT?
We use many different materials in our line of work, including—but not limited to—epoxy, drywall, trim, drywall mud, stucco, Bondo, patching compound, etc.
WHAT COLORS DO YOU SUGGEST FOR THE EXTERIOR?
For exterior colors, neutral tones like grays, beiges, and whites are timeless and versatile. Earthy shades like taupe or sage green blend well with nature, while bold accents like navy or charcoal add contrast. The best color depends on your home’s style and surroundings, and we can help you choose the perfect shade!

IS THERE ANYTHING THE HOMEOWNER SHOULD DO TO PREP FOR YOUR CREW TO ARRIVE?
To ensure a smooth and efficient painting process, homeowners can take a few simple steps to prepare. First, move furniture and items away from walls and trim, and remove any pictures, mirrors, or other items from the walls. Protect any valuables that can’t be moved, and for exterior projects, trim any bushes or trees around the home to provide easier access. Lastly, make sure all necessary access points are clear so we can reach every area that needs painting. These preparations will help us work more efficiently and deliver the best results.
WHAT IS YOUR CLEANUP PROCESS?
Our cleanup process is thorough, ensuring that your space is left spotless. After completing the painting, we’ll carefully remove all drop cloths, tape, and protective coverings. We’ll wipe down any surfaces that may have been touched and dispose of any empty paint cans or materials. Any partially used tinted paint will be left with you for touch-ups if needed. For exterior projects, we make sure the surrounding area is free of debris, including paint splatters or drips. Our goal is to leave your home looking beautiful and clean, just as we found it.
