We recently completed a cabinet painting project for a previous customer in Lansdale, PA. We painted most of their house back in 2020, but they called us back to repaint their kitchen cabinets in early 2021. We highlight some of the work completed in this residential painting project below.<\/p>\n

Prepping The Cabinets<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We removed all of the cabinet hardware and doors. We scuff sanded all surfaces before applying Sherwin Williams Pro Block Oil Primer. Once dry, we then sprayed a top coat of Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane. Surrounding trim and false fronts were also scuff sanded, primed, and painted using a wiz roller.<\/p>\n

Special Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our painters required an open space (garage or basement) that they will tent off with plastic and make a secure workspace for spraying and drying cabinets. It is strongly recommended to leave the cabinet doors open for 48 hrs after painting to ensure the paint has cured properly.<\/p>\n

For the top coat we used an HVLP sprayer. This sprayer is best for cabinet painting to give a more smooth finish<\/p>\n

Completion Time: 3 days<\/p>\n

Timeline:
\nDay 1 – prep\/sand and apply primer
\nDay 2 – apply the top coat
\nDay 3 – reinstall hardware, doors, and cleanup<\/p>\n
