In 2001, Brian Joyce and his family founded the Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Fund in honor of his father. While Barry was fighting his courageous battle against prostate cancer, he decided to create something that provided direct relief to local cancer patients who don\u2019t have the resources necessary to fight cancer on their own.<\/p>\n
After Barry\u2019s untimely death, the Joyce family was able to honor their father\u2019s wish and establish the Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Fund, which provides financial resources to people living with cancer and in need.<\/p>\n
For the past eleven years, CertaPro Painters\u00ae of Greensboro, NC has sponsored the fund\u2019s largest fundraiser \u2014 the Kicking Cancer Challenge Golf Tournament. Additionally, CertaPro Painters\u00ae of Greensboro, NC was one of the founding sponsors (and painters!) of The Barry Joyce Cancer Resource Center, which was built in 2013.<\/p>\n
Brian and his wife both serve on the board of the Barry L. Joyce Local Cancer Fund and are actively engaged with the resource center.<\/p>\n
