Exterior House Painting Project

Greensboro, North Carolina

CertaPro Greensboro recently completed a repaint of a historical home. Given that the house is around 100 years old, it was previously coated with lead-based paint. This required CertaPro to employ the protective protocols to isolate and properly dispose of the paint chips. The jobs started with a power wash of the entire structure to remove loose paint and dirt.  Next, the crew scraped areas where the paint was loose, spot-primed bare wood and caulked any exposed gaps.  In the course of the preparation, several areas of rotten wood were discovered. CertaPro was able to replace the affected siding and trim pieces, prime and paint to match the rest of the home.  Finally, the home was painted with Sherwin Williams Rain Refresh paint.  Ready for another century!
