After training he deployed to Afghanistan. During a patrol in 2010 he stepped on a pressure plate and the IED explosion cost Bobby his legs. A coalition organized by Homes for our Troops built a house for Bobby and his family in Belding Michigan. Our West Michigan CertaPro businesses donated the painting. The groundbreaking was held on Saturday October 25, 2014 with a couple hundred people attending. Pictured at the ground breaking in the center is Bobby Thrailkill and to his right, CertaPro Grand Rapids owner Rob Sligh.
