It\u2019s common to wait 5-7 years between painting these rooms, and sometimes even longer.<\/p>\n Master Bedrooms<\/strong><\/p>\n Bedrooms are the victims of the occasional bump or knock into the wall. They typically remain decent looking for much longer than a child or teen\u2019s room. Expect to paint your master bedroom every 5 years or more.<\/p>\n Children\u2019s Bedrooms<\/strong><\/p>\n A majority of children\u2019s time is spent in their bedroom, and with that comes messes. Between the crayons on walls and messy spills, painting a child\u2019s room can seem like it\u2019s necessary every other quarter. To prolong the paint you put up, choose a glossy finish. This will withstand scrubbing and extend the life of the paint. If you go this route, you\u2019ll be painting your children\u2019s rooms every 3-4 years.<\/p>\n Kitchen<\/strong><\/p>\n As the epicenter of your messes, the kitchen walls take quite a beating. Between food and traffic, messes are only natural. Because of this, your kitchen will need more attention than other rooms. Even the most durable paints and protective finishes will still need to be painted every 3 years. Some very vigilant cleaners will be able to go a bit longer.<\/p>\n
