When our customer requests bright green, that is what we give them! Greens and yellows are colors that have very little color retention when exposed to sunlight, adding a bit of difficulty to this project. Leaning on our relationship with Sherwin Williams, we were able to achieve the requested color without compromising quality or color retention with Acrolon 218 High Solids Polyurethane. We coated all metal surfaces, including those suspended just 6 inches from the building. Overspray protection was a high priority on this project, as was working around customers. High traffic areas were performed during nights and weekends to minimize any interruption. If you’re around downtown Bentonville, you can’t miss this one!

The problem to be solved:

The metal surfaces of this building had some surface rust, and there were some minor imperfections from the previous painting. There was also metal structure suspended just 6″ away from an existing brick building making it very challenging to successfully coat with a two part epoxy while also keeping the surface clean. So, how can we tackle these issues?

The team started by powerwashing, spot priming with rust inhibitive primer, and used a top coat with a two part epoxy. The team utilized the 32′ ladder and paid attention to the fine details of the project.

Final Result:

Even with a few weather delays, the team was able to complete the job within two weeks! We were able to coat all the metal surfaces, and the team of Climb Bentonville was thrilled with the color and final outcome of the project.
