Hi, I’m Christopher Hilliard, I’m the Production Manager here at CertaPro Painters of Fairfax and Prince William. My job is to make sure every project runs smoothly from beginning to end. That includes managing schedules, coordinating crews, keeping communication clear, and making sure the final result is something we’re all proud of.
I grew up in Fauquier County, Virginia. I spent my younger years playing footbal, baseball and wrestling and I still carry that same drive and discipline into my work today. Before joining CertaPro, I spent over a decade in high-end remodeling and 15 years in carpentry, building everything from kitchens to sunrooms. I’ve always loved seeing a project come together, but the best part for me is seeing the customer’s reaction when it’s done right.
Outside of work, I stay active. I’m an avid lifter, I enjoy hunting, and I like to challenge myself with things like Tough Mudders and, soon, my first marathon. My wife and I love starting our mornings with a walk on scenic trail with a warm cup of coffee, and we head to the mountains whenever we get the chance. We’re dog lovers through and through. Our Walker hound Georgia was part of our life for 11 wonderful years, and we’re looking forward to welcoming another one soon.
I’m also someone who enjoys working with my hands. I started cooking with my mother when I was five, and these days I’m often in the kitchen or out back on the smoker. I love to build furniture in my spare time, like beds, coffee tables, and TV stands — pieces that make our house feel like home.
In this role, what makes me successful is staying involved, being adaptable, and always keeping the client’s needs front and center. I believe in clear and honest communication and following through on what I say. Whether I’m working with crews, vendors, or homeowners, my goal is always the same: make it easy, do it right, and leave everyone feeling good about the job we’ve done.
