Front Door Color Inspo

Posted on February 28, 2022

Our team at CertaPro Painters® of El Paso has painted countless exteriors in the El Paso area. A popular trend over the last several years has been using an accent color on the front door. Changing the color of your front door seems subtle but it can actually have a huge impact on the appearance of the exterior of your home. From bright colors to black, there are so many options when it comes to choosing a color for your front door. Have fun with it! Before we get into some of our favorite front door color inspo, here are some things to consider when selecting a paint color:

  • Will the color you chose work well with your already pre-existing color scheme?
  • Will everyone in your family like this color? After all, everyone will need to be seeing it every day.
  • Will the color look good in direct sunlight?

Now let’s get into the colors!

Yellow

It is hard to find a color as cherry and delightful as yellow. It screams happiness and sunshine. So what better color for a spring front door? We like this best if the exterior of your home is gray. Pair it with a yellow flower wreath and welcome mat for the most welcoming front door situation.

Sky Blue

Sky blue is easy on the eyes while still adding a pop of color. It looks stunning when paired with cream siding.

Deep Purple

This isn’t a color most people think of, which will make it unique. This color looks so beautiful when paired with pretty much any neutral-colored exterior. You can add a yellow and light purple-flowered wreath to complete the look for the spring. And like classic blue, you can make this color work year-round.

Green – The most popular color of the year! If you want to incorporate green into your home, this is a great way to do it. It looks especially good if you have a lot of trees, shrubs, flowers in your front yard.
