Meet the Owner: Joe Alitiem
Some people are born with an entrepreneurial spirit. Joe Alitiem, owner of CertaPro Painters® of Tucson, is one of those people. Growing up in Jordan, Joe would go to the market to buy crates of produce and then hire his friends in the neighborhood to deliver them door to door. When he immigrated to the United States in 1982, he brought his determination and business acumen with him.
Joe attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and got his degree in electrical engineering. After 20 years of working in the corporate world, managing million-dollar budgets, overseeing 200 employees, and traveling around the country, Joe decided he wanted to settle down in one place and start a business of his own.
Tucson and CertaPro Painters® fit right in with Joe’s lifestyle. Joining the franchise, he was able to own a business, work through its challenges, create jobs in his community, and, most importantly, talk to people. Joe’s a self-proclaimed people person and loves communicating with customers to find out their goals. Once he hears what a customer wants, he does everything in his power to bring those visions to life.
Aside from the business, Joe and his team are very involved in their community and local charities. Additionally, Joe participates in CertaPro Painters® Paint it Pink campaign in October because the cause is near and dear to his heart.
Joe lives with his wife and children in Tucson.
