A retail strip mall center in Florence, KY was seeking professional painters to help them refresh and revitalize their property. This included things like updating the property’s color scheme and making minor repairs as needed. The main purpose of this project was for them to have a trusted partner give the strip mall center’s exterior a makeover. The project also posed some unique challenges, including a long permitting process for the desired color change.
Challenges:
Challenges:The key challenge our team navigated during the completion of this project was working directly with the county to approve the intended color change. This was a long and tedious process that we took on for our client, but knew it was necessary to obtain before beginning any work on their property.
Conditions:
The strip mall center was in a highly trafficked area, so scheduling and coordinating project operations was critical. Additionally, there were multiple tenants with businesses in the strip mall that we worked around from start to completion. Our goal was always to mitigate disruptions and allow them to still operate daily.
Project Involvement:
- Plan: Working with the client to understand their unique needs and how we could best complete the project within their time constraints.
- Repair: Making some EIFS repairs around the exterior of the building.
- Clean: Providing cleaning treatments to ensure the exterior space and its surfaces were ready for the repaint.
- Paint: Using products from Sherwin Williams, such as Super Paint and Pro Industrial.

This project took our team 1 month to complete from start to finish.
