Step 1: Was to remove/cut out all damaged texture/remaining popcorn texture & drywall.

Step 2: Conform that the water leakage/damage has been mitigated.

Step 3: Install new drywall and then tape/mud seams.

Step 4: Skim coat and sand new drywall seams/nail divots so the new finish is smooth.

Step 5: Spray on new texture and allow to dry.

Step 6: Apply a coat of PVA drywall primer to the ceiling over a new texture.

Step 7: Apply 2 finish coats of paint to the ceiling.

Step 8: Paint adjoining walls to complete the finished room.
