CertaPro Painters of Cincinnati was contracted to paint the Store Space Storage facility in Cincinnati in August 2021. Store Space Storage facility is located near downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a newly renovated five story storage facility.<\/p>\n
The exterior of the building was in poor condition when the project started. There were parts of the masonry walls that were crumbling and the original paint was chipping in most areas. There was a previously applied texture coating that was failing.<\/p>\n
The prep work completed was pressure washing and scraping only the loose and failing areas on the previously applied texture. We did not remove the previously applied texture that was still in good condition. The project involved priming and painting multiple coats on the entire facility- Masonry walls, metal caps, doors, and fire escapes. They also wanted the windows sealed shut which is unique.<\/p>\n

Finding the failing areas of the previously applied texture and tending to those needs, but leaving the previously applied texture that was in good condition. We applied three coats of the new color change in white areas.
There was also construction being done around the building, so we had to work around other contractors which delayed the start of the project. EIFS repair was needed in certain areas. We had to coordinate with Duke energy to shut off or discharge power lines around the building. There were special permits needed for road and sidewalk closures. They wanted the windows sealed shut which is a unique need.<\/p>\n
