Learn about the project and outcome.<\/p>\n<p>CertaPro Painters of Cincinnati was contracted to paint the metal storefront of Kings Mall Shopping Center in Cincinnati in May 2021. The metal storefront roof was fading, peeling and looked outdated with the original blue color. It also clashed with the signs of the current businesses in the shopping center. It was improved with gray color and making it last with all of the prep work done.<\/p>\n<p>The prep work involved pressure washing and scraping certain areas of peeling paint. We had to prime the surface with an acrylic rust inhibiting primer then apply two finish coatings of the new gray color. We had to be mindful of the foot traffic and car traffic of the shopping center visitors. We had to use a water trailer for the pressure washing because there was not a water source available. We painted with a special technique, making sure when the paint sets in, there are no streaks or visual patterns. We used a water trailer for the pressure washing. We needed to use scaffolding and harnesses for safety purposes while being on the roof.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left; padding-right: 40px;\" src=\"https:\/\/certapro.com\/salt-lake-city\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1167\/2020\/09\/img-treatment.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Challenges<\/h2>\n<p>The exterior was outdated, fading, peeling and showed signs of wear.
