We are David and Lynn Funck and we are the franchise owners for certapro painters-Cincinnati west side and southeast Indiana. Our territory extends from Springdale, south to the Ohio river, and includes Forest Park, Green Hills, Finneytown, Delhi, Northbend, Cleves, Western Hills, Harrison, College Hill, and Clifton, to name just a few areas. We also extend west into Indiana, where we go out as far west as Batesville and as far south as Aurora, including Lawrenceburg and Greendale. We have two children, Adam and Kaitlyn Funck. They attended the Cincinnati Waldorf School, Cincinnati [Winton Place] for two years. Then, in 2006 they auditioned for and were both accepted to the School of Creative and Performing Arts, in downtown Cincinnati. As a family we love to ski, at Perfect North [of course], bike ride, and kayak. Adam and Kaitlyn, both black belts in tae kwon do. This was achieved in September 2007, after a five and a half year journey. In addition, both Adam and Kaitlyn are active in My Nose Turns Red Circus Troupe, a local non-profit that teaches children the circus skills similar to those that you would see at a Cirque du Soilel performance. David is a graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science. Lynn is a graduate of Lakeland Community College, in Mattoon, Illinois, with an associate’s degree in early childhood education and Rutgers University the state university of New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in social work. David spent more than 20 years in the field of non-profit management as a director of development, executive director, and president of non-profit agencies and hospital foundations. Lynn was a social worker until we started our family and then spent six years as an assistant teacher in the Princeton [Princeton, New Jersey] and Homestead [Glen Spey, New York] Montessori schools, which Adam and Kaitlyn attended. As David liked to say, “everyone drove to school and came home from school together.” David was a leader and active volunteer in philanthropy, where he sat on several non-profit boards, including a stint as president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals-New Jersey Chapter. The chapter had a membership of more than 500 individuals at the time. Lynn was an active volunteer. She chaired the hot lunch committee to bring hot lunches to all the students and faculty at the Cincinnati Waldorf School in 2005-2006. Now, she is volunteering at the School for Creative & Performing Arts.
