Over the course of 11 years, Tom Thoma built an impressive resume with the U.S Navy. After graduating from the naval academy in 1996, Tom Thoma worked in counter-drug operations at sea, managed multi-ship operations as part of a squadron staff, and held internships with the Chief of Naval Operations NATO / Political-Military Affairs office and with the counternarcotics division of the Joint Staff.
After finding civilian work as a contractor of the Pentagon, Tom Thoma took night and weekend classes toward an MBA degree from the University of Maryland Smith School of Business. He graduated in 2013 and decided it was time to run his own business. After reviewing a variety of franchise options, he bought a CertaPro Painters franchise in August 2014.
