Vice President, Performance Marketing

Hybrid or Remote

Make Your Mark at CertaPro Painters®

Are you a growth-driven marketing leader with a track record of turning stagnant performance into accelerated results? CertaPro Painters® is seeking a bold, strategic, and data-obsessed Vice President of Performance Marketing to lead the charge in revitalizing our lead generation engine and fueling growth across our residential and commercial businesses.

As North America’s largest painting franchise brand, we know a beautiful finish is only part of the job — we deliver Certainty to every customer, every franchisee, every day. We’re not just building a brand, we’re building a movement of raving fans who trust, recommend and return. Now we’re looking for a performance marketing visionary who can build upon that promise to capture more market share, outmaneuver competitors, and inspire our franchise network and internal team with clarity, focus, and results.

This senior role reports to the Chief Brand Officer and will lead a high-performing team and agency partners to scale lead acquisition, modernize attribution, and drive quality pipeline growth across national, regional, and local channels. You’ll be a hands-on architect of growth — not just optimizing what exists, but identifying new opportunities where others see plateaus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with Vision & Action: Develop and execute a performance media strategy that achieves ambitious YOY growth goals in consumer, B2B, and franchise development.
  • Drive Full-Funnel Growth: Build and optimize multi-channel campaigns across paid and organic platforms with targeted segmentation and persona-driven messaging.
  • Elevate Owned & Paid Channels: Oversee SEO, paid search, social strategy, CRO, and CRM acquisition strategy to increase share of voice and share of lead.
  • Master the Metrics: Oversee rigorous measurement of campaign performance across all media, analyzing what’s working — and what’s not — to guide future investments.
  • Fuel Franchise Success: Equip our franchisees with insights, tools, and coaching that help them outperform in competitive local markets.
  • Own the Attribution Narrative: Lead development of an actionable attribution model and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) that clearly connect marketing investment to results.
  • Champion Customer Insights: Collaborate cross-functionally to understand customer behavior, trends, and motivations — turning insights into market-winning strategies.
  • Lead the Team Forward: Recruit, coach, and inspire a passionate performance marketing team; serve as a player-coach willing to dig in and model excellence.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Ensure compliance with evolving data privacy regulations and stay on the forefront of adtech, AI, and marketing automation.

  • Track record of turning around or accelerating growth in a competitive, saturated, or plateaued market using data-driven and ROI-positive marketing programs.
  • Deep expertise in marketing attribution, lead lifecycle management, and performance tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, CDPs, DAMs, ad tech, and web analytics.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and scale multi-channel campaigns including ABM, SEO/PPC, media buying, and copywriting.
  • Skilled in deploying scalable testing frameworks and growth strategies that deliver measurable pipeline and revenue impact.
  • Strong grasp of data privacy regulations and how they impact targeting, measurement, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Exceptional communicator and trusted collaborator, with the ability to build consensus and influence outcomes across teams and franchise networks.
  • Franchising experience is required, with a deep understanding of scaling success across distributed, entrepreneurial teams.
  • Strong public speaking and facilitation skills, including comfort leading franchise advisory boards, co-ops, and executive presentations.
  • Team builder and player-coach, capable of mentoring high performers while rolling up sleeves when needed.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media strategy and community engagement, with a knack for generating word-of-mouth momentum.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field (advanced education or equivalent experience a plus).
  • Ability & willingness to travel up to 25%.
