And it’s why all the coatings we apply come in low-VOC (volatile organic compounds), and often no-VOC, formulations.
Alarming news headlines have us all well informed about the dangers of airborne VOCs. We’re also warned about mildew and mold, typically found in damp areas where it can multiply and grow over time to create unhealthy air. At CertaPro Painters® our goal is to contribute no VOCs within the home. In fact, some of the interior coatings we apply in our customers’ homes are formulated to actually reduce already existing ambient VOC emissions emitted by other home decorating materials such as carpeting and furniture fabrics, cabinets and drapes.
As for mildew and mold, we work to eradicate it where it exists on previously painted surfaces and we apply new paints and coatings that contain anti-microbial agents to retard future development of mildew on painted surfaces.
