We recently completed a cabinet painting project in Albuquerque and wanted to highlight the project in this post. The customer wanted to update the look of the kitchen and go from the original wood finish to a painted finish. We had previously painted the kitchen walls as part of a large interior project and the homeowners wanted a cohesive look to the room with a two-tone motif.<\/p>\n

Prepping The Cabinets<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We made sure to thoroughly remove all dirt, grime, and grease from the doors, drawers, and cabinet surfaces that are known to accumulate over time. We removed the doors, drawers, and all the hardware as part of our preparation process.<\/p>\n

Painting And Reinstallation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

After preparing the surfaces, a primer coat was applied using Sherwin Williams PrimeRx\u00ae Peel Bonding Primer, then multiple finish coats using Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel Paint.<\/p>\n

Our Job-Site-Supervisor, Tony, opted to paint the doors and drawers off-site in our facility (with the customer’s permission) as there was limited space in the home. This allowed us to use a spray technique for an outstanding finish.<\/p>\n

The customer was retaining the existing hardware, so it was re-installed along with new felt bumper pads.<\/p>\n
